101 in 1001

Here is my list of goals that I hope to accomplish in 1001 days. I plan to start my list on June 24, 2007 (birthdays make good starts). 1. Become debt free (except mortgage).
2. Take a cooking class.
3. Hike Mount Timpanogos, visit the cave.
4. Go on vacation to Hawaii.
5. Remember the French I learned all those years in school.
6. Read the Harry Potter series again.
7. Learn hoop dancing. * so much fun!!!
8. Learn more about personal finance. *best book, Suze Orman “The Courage to be Rich”. We also really enjoy watching her show, and I have learned a ton through watching and reading.
9. Go to a laser show at the new planetarium.
10. Build a private fence around our yard.
11. Grow more of our own food (fruits and veggies).
12. Visit with friends more often.
13. Paint all the white walls in my house a different color.
14. Find a great place to play tennis. *found it, sadly it doesn’t have lights for night time, but it is super nice and brand new! It’s also next to the river, so pretty!
15. Finish our basement.
16. Take more photos. *worth doing!
17. Own a great “little black dress”.
18. Complete my family scrapbook project.
19. Promote animal rescue on my 4theloveofanimals blog.
20. Pamper myself at a spa.
21. Learn Spanish, or at least start to learn Spanish.
22. Lose 20 pounds.
23. Clear the clutter and live more simply. *I am clutter free and it feels so good to have nothing in our home but those things that we use or love. Highly recommended!
24. Visit the Four Corners.
25. Make Christmas cards using potato stamps.
26. Own a retro style cruiser bike (the Electra Hawaii).
27. Use more coupons for grocery shopping. *worth it, but only if you really use the items you are buying!
28. Go to Gilgal Gardens, a wacky wonder of Utah.
29. Take better care of myself by eating more fruits and veggies.
30. Ride my bike to Bridal Veil Falls more often in the summer time.
31. Learn to change the oil in my car.
32. Take an interior design class.
33. Redo our master bathroom.
34. Crochet an afghan properly.
35. Visit Zion’s National Park.
36. Figure out how to use my new sewing machine. *now I just need to use it often.
37. Take a trip to Disneyland and Sea World.
38. See the major pictographs and petroglphs in Utah.
39. Do an flip trick on my skateboard.
40. Dig a hole in our yard for our trampoline.
41. Go to Vernal and see the dinosaurs.
42. Add a back door to our house. *we did it ourselves, and it’s wonderful to finally have an easy way to the backyard.
43. Build a deck coming from the new back door.
44. Donate excess stuff to charity. *absolutely awesome! Sure we could have sold it all in a yard sale, but it’s ten times better to feel generous and know that the stuff is going to those who need it!
45. Take a trip to Seattle to visit family and also to go to the aquarium.
46. Finally own a VW Bug!
47. Transfer my film photos to the computer.
48. Support more independent artists by buying handmade when possible. *worth every penny!
49. Get to the highest level on Wii Sports Tennis (rethinking this one, it will now be, get really good at Wii Tennis but not reach the highest level, I do have a life).
50. Learn how to do yo-yo tricks with my yo-yo.
51. Play my guitar regularly again. *so much fun! Is it weird to say I am happy to finally have blisters on my fingers?
52. Teach our bird to whistle.
53. Go mountain biking in Moab.
54. Try Geocaching.
55. Find a great pair of jeans. *found them for $30!
56. Earn money from my websites. *it’s nice to have a little extra coming in each month.
57. Buy a storage shed for our yard stuff. *we changed our mind about this when we got our new mower, it’s electric and needs a plug, so no shed is needed now!
58. Get a hot tub.
59. Become better organized in all parts of my life. *this was so easy once all the clutter was cleared.
60. Learn to play piano again.
61. Take down the big old satellite dish in our yard.
62. Have a photograph published in a book. *This came true from National Geograhpic! They used this photo and my version of a graveyard cake for a Halloween book for kids.
63. Put a pond and waterfall in my backyard. *too pricey, but we do have an awesome fountain now, so I consider this as good as done.
64. Grow kiwis in my garden.
65. Redesign my animal rescue website.
66. Take part in Race for the Cure.
67. Rediscover the habit of making my bed every morning. *why I ever stopped doing this is beyond me, it’s easy and makes such a huge difference.
68. Take a trip to Las Vegas to see the sights.
69. Learn more about making jewelry. *got some good info at the library, I think it would be really fun to pick up this hobby again. A lot has changed in 15 years since I did it last!
70. Get a new computer mouse with a scrolling button. *thank you hubby!
71. Make a hoop dance video.
72. Eat a mango in Hawaii.
73. Pet a flamingo.
74. Swim with dolphins.
75. Try two recipes from each of the cookbooks we own.
76. Belly dance more often.
77. Learn how to cut vegetables in all the various ways possible.
78. Take a trip with Earthwatch.
79. Have a girl’s only weekend with my closest friends.
80. Learn how to really swim.
81. Put hardwood floors in my office.
82. Be able to do at least 20 push-ups.
83. Go to the salt flats.
84. Visit Red Butte Gardens.
85. Be part of a volleyball team.
86. Learn to make amigurami.
87. Find a really fun aerobics class to attend.
88. Make more videos.
89. Have a lot more fun.
90. Create a great craft room in our laundry room. *hurray for space to create!
91. Attend more outdoor concerts.
92. Participate in Illustration Fridays, hopefully improve drawing skills.
93. Get a new Mac. *thank you dad for the awesome hand-me-down!
94. Make a home theater in our house. *we did it, and now we are planning improvements on it… always tinkering around we are (insert Yoda voice).
95. Learn to do a back flip on the trampoline.
96. Get a new bedroom set (almost there, got the bed).
97. Build a robot.
98. Do a cartwheel properly.
99. Work at a nursery and learn all about plants.
100. Take yoga classes.
101. Adopt a dog (saved the best for last).
