That’s right! No change at all. Now, you would think that all the yard work and other activity I have been doing this week would have made the scale go down at least a little bit, but sadly no. This wouldn’t be a big deal, except my measurements haven’t budged either.
According to this site, my calories burned for pulling weeds should be 306 calories an hour! I did 3 hours on Monday, and almost 4 yesterday. That should have shed at least a pound if you account for all the extra hoop dancing and belly dancing I have been doing in addition to the weeding.
So, yes friends, it is a tad frustrating. I am doing things the right way; eating better, getting enough sleep, trying to move my body… and yet nothing is really coming off yet. This week I am going to track my calories in writing, just to make sure I didn’t miscalculate my intake. Other than that, I can’t figure out what is going on other than the affects of being over 30 working against me. Isn’t there a way to stop getting older?? If there is, sign me up! (:
Actually, you have probably gained a little muscle that has replaced the weight of the fat. Because of this, it can sometimes take a month before the scale budges. Meanwhile, you probably won’t see a different in your measurements right away, because sometimes you begin losing weight in the places you don’t measure, such as your face, ankles, or neck. It can be frustrating, I should know! (o; Sounds like you’re doing great! Don’t give up!
Don’t give up! When I started working out it took about 2 months for me to start seeing results. It was very frustraiting but once you get over that hump and you are consistant the pounds will come off a lot easier.

I agree with juliette, the last places that fat comes off of are the ones we measure it seems like. My arms get way skinner before my love handles start to shrink!
Also I think it takes bodies a little while to get into the “losing” mode. They totally resist it at first.

sparkpeople.com is a good tool for counting calories, but for some reason, i have a feeling we’ve talked about that site before. Don’t get discouraged!

I also agree with Juliette! Love the sunny yellow header with the wee little flowers.
I am sure that you are all right! There are tons of places that I don’t measure, and of course, they probably do lose inches before anywhere else!
Thanks for the encouragement, there is no way I am giving up!
