Hoopnotica Review

I was so excited when I received a Level 1 DVD and Travel Hoop from Hoopnotica.com! The below photo is from the Hoopnotica website and shows the travel hoop:
.

We loved our travel hoop so much that I ended up ordering another one (which is fun to try to keep two hoops going at the same time). The TravelHoop is really nice; it can be taken apart and put back together again quickly, and it is lighter, which makes it great for carrying around in a bag. The other benefit of the TravelHoop is that it’s easier to store. Mine is the spiral, silver hoop with an aqua green color spiral around it. It’s very pretty when it’s moving (especially since I have to hoop outside, the sun catches the silver and looks really cool). They sell a Starter Kit that has the DVD and TravelHoop for $49.95.

The Level 1 DVD is set up like a workout, with a hoop centered warm-up which is then followed by a breakdown of various moves you can do with the hoop. The first thing you learn is how to keep the hoop moving on your waist (pretty important), followed by your hips, then you learn halos which take place above your head, as well as floating and passing, and a little bit harder move, the corkscrew. The end of each move features a “trouble shooting” section that is very helpful.

Aside from hoops and instructional DVD’s they offer classes in person (in California), as well as music, and even clothing and accessories. Need more inspiration to start hoopdancing? Here is a video clip from Hoopnotica:

By the way, if I haven’t already told you this before, hoopdance is a great way to get in shape! Plus, it’s so much fun it doesn’t even feel like a workout at all.
