I had thought about starting the 365 project back at the beginning of the year as part of my goal to take more photos. Well, I have finally decided to give it a go! I’m hopeful that it will really help me improve my photography skills and also be a lot of fun in the process. I’m still not sure that I will upload each day as it happens, but my goal is to get the photos off of the camera at least once a week.

One thing that I need to do is remember to set the correct date on my digital camera… I uploaded some photos recently that claimed to have been taken back in 2007! Last time I checked, it was still very much 2009! I can see this becoming very confusing as I try to organize my photos for this project.
I have made a special Tumblr, and added the feed to the 365 Project page on this blog so you can follow the process there if you would like to. Wish me luck!

The All-New Illustrated Guide to Gardening: Now All Organic!
is one amazing gardening guide! It seriously has everything that you would need to know about flowers, shrubs, and trees. It is like the encyclopedia for gardeners. Each section has how to use a plant (such as for privacy), what zones they grow in, how to care for them, prorogation, common problems, and water and sun needs.
Here is an excerpt from the book to give you an idea of what you will find:
The quickest and easiest way to enjoy flowers in the garden is to purchase young annuals or biennials in plant form in spring (also in autumn in the South) and set them directly in the garden. A wide choice of plants is available, but seeds, especially those offered in catalogs, provide an even greater diversity.
If you are looking for a great source to get started with gardening, or just a great resource to add to your library, this is the perfect book. It’s not so much a how-to, as a guide to growing just about anything!
