Makeover Time!
Comments (2) The area in our yard that I have lovingly been calling “shame corner” is finally getting a much needed makeover. Why did I call it that? Well, between all the patio stuff being stored there over the winter, all the weeds, and the nasty gravel that turned into the neighborhood kitty litter box, the corner was not pretty. It looked like a junk yard! Well, all that is about to change! Here is what it looked like at it’s best:
The Spanish cane is finally going to be removed, some of which I did myself and let me tell you, that stuff is hard to get out! They weren’t kidding when they said the roots could weigh a few pounds! And!!! We are getting concrete poured over the whole area, making a perfect spot for a small patio. I am already planning what potted plants are going to make an apperance when it’s all done!
I will try my best to take photos, but I already missed the really good “before” shot. Even now it looks nicer than it did just yesterday morning before I moved out a lot of the patio stuff and pulled out all the weeds. I did get some good shots of the Spanish cane roots though. Hope to get more too, but that will all depend on when the come to dig it out.
Now, usually we are all about DIY here, but can I just tell you that right now with my hay fever in full bloom, having someone else come and do all this is aboslute heaven!
