Fashion No-nos.

While I am no fashionista, I do try to look nice. However, there have been some things that I have done that are considered major fashion no-nos.

  1. Overalls. Yep, used to wear them quiet often in the late 90s/early 2000s. I wasn’t alone in this, but I have learned that wearing overalls should be done in the garden only.
  2. Socks with sandals. Sorry folks, but sometimes in our climate you just have to do it. I have special socks from Japan so I can at least wear them properly.
  3. Blue eyeshadow. I heard somewhere that this was a bad thing. Personally, I like the way it makes my eyes look.
  4. Flats. Heels may look pretty, but I like to keep my feet happy in flats.
  5. The Scrunchy. I am not sure why a simple, hardly noticeable, scrunchy is such a no-no. But it is somehow, at least according to makeover shows and such. Yet, it’s the only thing that holds my hair in a ponytail. I have tried regular elastics, and would prefer them, but they always end up slipping down my hair, ruining the ponytail.

What about you? Do you have any fashion don’ts that you love to do?

  1. I told my husband I was going to burn his sandals enough times I think he finally got the hint and bought some “normal” shoes to wear his socks with.
