Eat Your Way to Happiness

I recently got a review copy of the book, Eat Your Way To Happiness. I was pretty excited to see what it had to say. After all, we have been making an effort to eat more healthily in our home, and part of that has been a lot of reading about various diets. It’s been a great education about nutrition!
I have to say, of all the books that I have recently read on the subject, I liked this one a lot. Sure, it matches how I feel about eating, but that’s not the only reason that I liked it!
The book covers a lot of material, but it’s an easy and entertaining read as well. The focus of the “diet” is on real foods, things like whole grains, fresh fruits and veggies. Eating foods that are closest to the real deal will benefit you the most, and can not only help boost your mood, but lower your weight.
I also liked that the author didn’t promise any quick fixes. Too many diets promise big results with little effort. For real health you have to be in it for the long haul, which means choosing good foods, and of course working out as well. In the book we learn that healthy eating and making a few simple changes in diet can have amazing results. Highlights:
- The 1, 2, 3 combination of breakfast foods that will keep you energized all day.
- Which carbs and fats to eat and why the right ones will help elevate your mood and decrease your weight.
- The 12 super foods that pack an added punch for boosting mood and slimming your waistline.
- Nutritious foods that have been scientifically shown to tweak brain chemistry so you feel calmer, happier and more energetic and more likely to stick to your diet.
- The amazing studies showing that chocolate and wine can help you live longer and more happily.
Overall, a great book on the topic of health and weight. It was especially good to learn the ways that foods can effect mood. I figured it did, I think everyone has felt the effects of bad eating and the mood that follows. Luckily, there is a simple way to keep your body and your mood happy! You can find Eat Your Way To Happiness online, or anywhere else books are sold. Hopefully your library would have a copy as well.

Sounds like my kind of book!
