Wish List

Laura of Lolalina wanted to know about her readers wish lists. Since I love daydreaming about gorgeous items, and hoping one day to own them (hint, hint, Santa), I jumped at the chance to make a wish list for her to share on her site. You can visit my list and others on her site, but just for fun I am sharing my list here as well.

Just a few of the things I am wishing for this holiday season, and you may notice, they are almost all house related!

  • To help us with our home improvement wish list, I really want this digital tape measure from Think Geek. Very cool, and handy. It keeps your measurement, so you don’t have to scramble for a paper and pen while you are doing your work!
  • I have always had a thing for fountains, and when we saw this Buddah fountain in person, it became a wish. It has a clear ball that is pushed by the water, making it roll on top of the water. It’s also lighted, and just looks serene. I have always loved Buddah images too, so this is the best of both worlds!
  • A set of journals, made from elephant poo (yes, you read that right, poo), would be a perfect place to write resolutions for 2010!
  • Speaking of elephants, I love the elephant tea pot from Pier 1! I don’t even drink tea, but I love the way this looks. Of course, it would look really fun sitting on top of our stove as well, matching the Venetian plaster on our kitchen walls.
  • I’m pretty sure that Santa could slip an Apple iPod touch into my Christmas stocking. It’s even coal colored, in case he thinks I was naughty this year. Perfect for keeping my music at my fingertips, and also great for helping my husband test the applications he is working on for the iPhone/iPod.
  • I am still very much wishing for the gorgeous Casablanca bedding set from Gaiam. It’s just so pretty. I think it would look great in our bedroom, and add a lot of rich color to a room that is kind of lacking color right now.
  • The game accent table from Pottery Barn would be perfect in our family room! I love that it is not just a great end table, but that you can use it for hours of fun, with multiple games. It comes with all the pieces for backgammon, chess, checkers and Chinese checkers.
  • Flowers are a girls best friend, and the celadon ceramic vase would be great for holding the cuttings from our garden. Not only is it very classic, and pretty to look at, it also helps animals. The Animal Rescue Site will fund 168.0 bowls of food for animals living in sanctuaries and shelters with each vase purchased. Really can’t beat that!
  • Last but not least, a llama. But not just any llama! This llama is a gift that keeps on giving thanks to Heifer.

So, with Christmas just around the corner… what are you hoping to find under your tree and in your stocking this year?

I saw that teapot and lusted after it, too! And you already know how much I’d love that bedding.

I hope Santa brings you at least a couple of these things. (o:
