Another amazing pop up book in our collection is The Sound of Music: A Classic Collectible Pop-Up! What I am finding is that photographing the pages really doesn’t come close to showing just how detailed these pop up books are. Most of the books we have include smaller books on the sides of the pages (next to the larger pop up), which also have small pop up elements in them. Here are a few photos from The Sound of Music:

It’s a good photography practice to try and capture these pages. It has been a challenge too. Things I have learned; we need a better place to shoot things, one with a plain background and awesome lighting. A tripod is a must have, as trying to hold very, very, still will still cause blurry photos. Also, it’s a lot of fun.
