I am still working on the trick.
It’s getting better, I am able to more easily get it up past the girls. Sadly, it still won’t stay there long enough to do one full revolution.
I’m trying to remember that different things are hard for different people, and other things are easy. We each have our own way of learning. The key is to keep trying. And I am going to keep trying!
Somehow in writing that it feel more like I am announcing a wedding or something other than our new counter tops. LOL! However, we finally know the date when our kitchen will be transformed for the better. In just one week (Jan 21), we will have our counter top installed. Granted, there is a lot that we need to do in preparation, and there will be some things we will need to do after (back splash), but it’s happening! Even the old counter is getting in on the demo action, it’s started to demo itself!

I really can’t tell you how excited I am. Plus, demolition is a hoot and a half! Right now I am just trying to decide how to best dispose of the gigantic mess we are going to make. One idea I had was to order a dumpster and then let our neighbors use it too since January is a great clutter clearing month, but apparently you have to pay quiet a bit for that. I guess we will be filling our regular trash can to the brim!
My crystal ball sees many take out dinners in the recent future.
