All about the kitchen!

My thoughts are all about the kitchen right now, or rather the lack of kitchen. It’s been an adventure trying to do a little cooking, and of course since we removed our sink, there has been a lot of eating out as well.

The installers at Chris and Dicks were very understanding and we have a new install date for our new Wilsonart HD counter top. They will be installed next week on the 27th! I can’t wait until we have our kitchen back in working order. We sure are tired of eating out, and it’s not even been a week yet.

In the meantime, I am researching new kitchen faucets. My dream faucet would be one of the Delta faucets with “Touch20″! Have you seen them? You can touch the faucet to turn it on. So cool. I am such a sucker for new and innovative things like that. We haven’t gone to look at faucets in person yet, but there are so many options out there, I have a feeling it will be very fun to choose one we like.

The Basic Book of Digital Photography

I recently got a review copy of a great book called The Basic Book of Digital Photography: How to Shoot, Enhance, and Share Your Digital Pictures! As you know, we love photography around this house, and we especially enjoy the ease of using digital cameras. Even though we are pretty familiar with photography (being artists), and the digital side of things, this book still was an amazing reference and taught some things. It’s a great book to have in your library, one that I am sure that I will reference often.

There is so much that it covers, from how to shoot a pleasing photo, to sharing your photos, and enhancing them. Here is an article from the authors to give you an idea of what information you can find in the book. If you enjoy digital photography or want to get into it more but don’t know where to start, The Basic Book of Digital Photography is a good book to have!
