Winter produces some amazing colors, and though the photographs never do any justice to the way it really looked in person, I still try to capture the moment. This appeared last night (and through the power of FB, I know that some of my friends also saw it in person). For those who didn’t:

This was my view from our back door, through our walnut tree. The sky was the most brilliant shade of pink that I actually first noticed it while I was sitting in my office. The room got pinker and pinker, I looked out the window and scurried to capture it on camera before it disappeared. The winter sunset, though dazzling, is also fleeting.
