The counter tops are off, the sink is out, our kitchen is almost totally unusable. We are already tired of eating out, but it’s getting closer. Our next item is tackle the back splash. Sadly this means ripping up the sheet rock and replacing it, as the tiles are directly on the wall.

But what to do with the behemoth? It’s heavy! I have lifted the other side of many things with my husband. Many heavy, heavy things. The counter top conquered my mini-muscles though, and I can’t even get my side of it up. My hubby says he has a plan for it though, so I just have to believe.

Sadly my hubby isn’t feeling well, and so although we are close to being done, we weren’t able to do anything today. I am hopeful that we can change our install date to Friday or Monday, because with having to redo our sheet rock where we remove the back splash, I am not sure we could do it by Thursday. Especially if my hubby is still not feeling well.

We’ll see what happens, as any DIYer knows, these things are always an adventure! For now though, we are knee deep in tiles.
