Time, time, time…

Oh it’s been busy around these parts, but not with what you might think. The kitchen is still in shambles (counters arrive soon though), and of course that also means that our living room is still a mess. I sure do miss my hooping space… and so do my pants, which seem to be fitting a bit snugger than I would like. I also miss being able to wash my hands in the kitchen.

In the middle of all the kitchen fun and madness, my hubby was feeling very unwell. In the past he has had bleeding ulcers, which he almost died from (luckily we were already at the hospital, otherwise he wouldn’t have made it). So, when ever he feels like his ulcers are back, it’s a worry. This morning he got things checked out with a quick scope, and gratefully his stomach was fine. He does have ulcers in his esophagus though, which will be treated with medication. I’m just happy that he will start feeling better soon!

Luckily for him we have plenty of good movies to watch (can you say Lord of the Rings marathon?), and even though we don’t have a working kitchen, we still had very yummy take out food to enjoy. I am just glad that this part of the crazy week is over. I am ready for the fun part (counters)!

Snow Ghost.

We had a gorgeous snow storm, which I had to capture on camera. When I unloaded the photos I noticed that we had a “friendly ghost” in one of our trees. I call it a snow ghost (because it’s a ghost that likes to hang out in the snow)… and I think it looks a bit like Casper.

A snow ghost?

In which I beg for votes (again).

Today starts another contest that we are hoping Baby will win. Here is her photo, and you can click on it to be taken to her voting page. I will add a button to our sidebar too. We only have this voting period to have a chance to win the prize for our favorite animal charity, Best Friends, so please vote (you do have to register once) and spread it around to your friends. We would love to see Best Friends get loads of money to keep doing their amazing work.

Now back to working on the kitchen for me. Our counter top install date was moved, gratefully they didn’t have a problem moving it for us. We now get counters on Wednesday!! Yipee!

All about the kitchen!

My thoughts are all about the kitchen right now, or rather the lack of kitchen. It’s been an adventure trying to do a little cooking, and of course since we removed our sink, there has been a lot of eating out as well.

The installers at Chris and Dicks were very understanding and we have a new install date for our new Wilsonart HD counter top. They will be installed next week on the 27th! I can’t wait until we have our kitchen back in working order. We sure are tired of eating out, and it’s not even been a week yet.

In the meantime, I am researching new kitchen faucets. My dream faucet would be one of the Delta faucets with “Touch20″! Have you seen them? You can touch the faucet to turn it on. So cool. I am such a sucker for new and innovative things like that. We haven’t gone to look at faucets in person yet, but there are so many options out there, I have a feeling it will be very fun to choose one we like.
