New mugs

From Japan

As always, these images come from our Home as Art group. I love how cheery the colors in these images are. Both feature various shades of blues and she did a great job grouping her items together to create a pleasing design. The photos belong to i l’aria, who also has a blog featuring more of her stylish home and lifestyle.

Delta "Make a Mess" Design Sweepstakes

By , April 13, 2010

Delta has a fun giveaway going on right now, and the prize is a Pilar® Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O™ technology! The fun part is, you get to “make a mess” using their Make a Mess application and submitting to the online gallery. There is a winner each week. At the end of the 7 week period, two additional winners will be drawn at random.

Step 1: Create a finger painting and upload it to the design gallery.

Step 2: Check your email account for confirmation that your uploaded design has been submitted for content approval. Upon approval, you will receive a second email inviting you to submit your design for a chance to win a Delta® faucet with Touch2O® Technology.

Step 3: Submit your design for a chance to win!

What are you waiting for? Go have some fun “painting”, and hopefully winning a new faucet! You can become a fan of Delta Faucet on Facebook as well, and also follow on Twitter. We sure have loved our Delta Faucet, and imagine that the Touch2O™ technology would be so handy, especially with how messy hands can get while cooking. Let me know if you enter, and especially if you win!!

My friend wrote a book…

And I can’t wait to start reading it.

It’s called Raw Choctaw: Memoirs of an Indian Medicine Woman.

We have a kitchen again!

By , April 11, 2010

Everything in the kitchen is done (well, that’s not totally true, but we have full function again). Here is the result:

The weather has been lovely recently, enough that I have been able to get out and do some much needed garden clean up. I am also thinking of setting up our Aerogarden again since we know it wasn’t the source of the bugs after all, just a huge attractor! I have an herb kit that I can grow, which sounds great since we cook at home a lot.

Perhaps my husband missed his calling in life. He should be building high rises, but instead builds monuments to Mountain Dew. I thought it was photo worthy.
