Wasted Weekend

The weekend was a bit of a waste. It was cold, and rainy, making yard work a bit tough (wet grass and lawn mowers don’t mix). Now it’s snowing (see post below)! However, even if it hadn’t been cold, I was feeling awful and not like doing anything at all on Saturday.

When we were installing our faucet awhile ago, I was under the sink trying to tighten something that Heath couldn’t reach. I wasn’t even in an odd position, but something in my neck felt like it popped, and a hot pain went all the way through it. It hurt so much, the pain even went into my jaw and my shoulder. I still am not sure what happened (pinched nerve?), but ever since then there are times when it hurts again. Saturday the pain woke me up, and it nagged at me all day. Later on my tum decided to get in on the action, and so I was pretty much out of commission the entire day.

The weekend wasn’t a total loss though, we didn’t get to do anything super fun out of the house, but we didn’t have to look too far for some excitement. The first iris of the season came out:

Four fighter jets flying in formation flew over us many times and were visible from the backyard. They were loud! And amazing. I still don’t know why they were flying over, but it was such a sight to see!

Lots of house dreaming and planning, especially about our next project. Any guesses? Here’s a fairly huge hint:

And a bit of rearranging in preparation for a new pet goldfish (more about that later, kind of fun and interesting, and deserves it’s own post). How was your weekend?
