Sadly, there hasn’t been a bit of progress on Project Hoop. I am hopeful that I can start hooping again soon, but I had been sidetracked by a foot problem. The sad truth is that hooping makes my foot hurt worse than any other activity I do. It’s sad, and my hoop looks forlorn as it has barely been touched the past month.
I am sad too. This puts a serious kink in learning all the new tricks that I wanted to learn. Project Hoop is on hold. At least I can still hoop in my dreams.

I miss being young and getting out of school for a summer break. I wish that, as grown ups, we too could have a summer break. Of course for me that would mean someone else doing all the cooking, cleaning, shopping, and such. And me? I would be enjoying the mountains, maybe traveling, and taking in night time concerts in the park. Sadly, there is no real summer break for grown ups (even teachers still have real life to attend to during their time off).
In the spirit of a summer break though, I am going to do as little as possible. Maybe put on the sprinkler, run through it, and then dry off in the hammock. Cook light meals, walk in the moonlight, and avoid housework at all costs. In general, just act like a 6 year old. Care to join me?
The patio project has been put on hold due to bad weather. But that doesn’t stop me from dreaming about it.
I found some bamboo screens that I would love to get. They would hide some not so pretty views while also adding privacy to that corner of the yard. In a dream world where money was no object, we would put in a privacy fence around the entire yard. For now, I think these would at least make this little outdoor room a lot more cozy.
I have seen several outdoor wicker sets that I like. One that I like is the South Bali Wicker Seating Set
on Amazon, but it also has a big price tag. In the spirit of saving money, we may have to see what we can do with what we already own. Could be a lot more fun and interesting to try to use what we already have to create a similar look and feel.
So, that is where the patio project is for now. Maybe this weekend will bring nice weather and I can get started. Do you have any weekend projects planned?
They are tearing down my high school today. It was still standing when I went past this morning.
