Master Bedroom

By , August 21, 2010

I often think about our master bedroom and what we can do to spruce it up a bit. The walls are white right now, and it just feels a bit blah. Bedding is the easiest thing to change, so I have been looking around a lot.

Look at this room from West Elm:

I love the warm color on the walls with the white bedding. My favorite thing to do is to have cream bedding with a color on the wall. I used to have a room like that when I lived at home, but after getting married all of our master bedroom walls have been white. So, the bedding became colorful instead. I can’t believe I haven’t done anything to the walls in this house yet since we finally can paint!

Of course, it may have something to do with hubby suffering from DIY burnout. I do really like the pin-tuck duvet cover in the photo though, and it does come in other colors. Of course, if we are sticking with white walls, I like this bedding set from Wrapables too. I think it would work with white walls:

Now, if only they didn’t cost so much! A small room makeover is in order though I think. What does your master bedroom look/feel like?

    Hello,

I moved into my condo with a blue master bedroom (blue like the comforter) and I am not known for my affinity to blue.

I have tried my hardest to work with the color but have not found any combos I like. Right now it feels like a hodgepodge and I’m ready for a change. Any suggestions? I have lots of blue now.

    Thanks,
    Vanessa
