Sanrio MIMOBOTS!

Sanrio has a special line of MIMOBOTs in honor of Sanrio’s 50th anniversary! As you know, I love Sanrio, and I love technology, so this news was super exciting to me. So, when Mimoco offered to send me one, I was over the moon happy! I decided to get the Chococat, and just look at how cute the Chococat MIMOBOT is!

Have you ever seen a cuter flash drive?! And Chococat isn’t the only one, they have a lot of your favorite Sanrio characters too! I don’t know about you, but I love having a flash drive handy, especially for storing photos. Being able to easily store and share photos on friends’ and family’s’ computers, and of course, for easy access when I want to print photos, is one of my favorite uses for a flash drive. Of course there are many other uses too, photo storage is just my favorite since I take loads of photos. Do you use them? What is your favorite use for a flash drive?

These flash drives come in a variety of memory sizes ranging from 2GB to 16GB. They also have some fun, pre-loaded goodies like wallpapers, screensavers and videos specific to each character. MIMOBOT flash drives can be purchased online at www.mimoco.com.

Fall Fashion For Flamingos

It’s almost October, so I thought it was close enough to dress Miss Franny in her Halloween attire. If you are new here, Miss Franny is our flamingo, and she has seasonal outfits that she likes to wear. Here she is in her finery.

And what would a good fall fashion shoot be without Miss Franny strutting her stuff in our pumpkin patch? Do you see the size of that pumpkin? It’s going to be big!

Other stylish items for fall include a Thanksgiving themed outfit. Stay tuned.

Lately…

A nice little walk over a cute little bridge while waiting for my husband to finish an appointment. Not a bad place to have to wait around really, don’t you agree?

Lots of reading, including this book, Under the Same Moon. It blows me away that I have such gorgeous and talented friends. Kelli wrote, and self published, this book and it has been doing so well! It’s no surprise really, it’s an interesting story! Do check it out if you have a chance. At the very least visit her blog, AfricanKelli.

New, funky feet. These shoes are meant to help with balance, and I got them because I am hoping they will help spread my tootsies apart. I have a couple of naughty hammer toes, one of which has been acting up more recently. And also? That toe nail polish you see on my tootsies isn’t just a pretty teal color, it’s teal with a purpose. Teal is the color for ovarian cancer awareness. Every year the lovely Michelle of Bleeding Espresso, hosts giveaways to help spread the word about this cancer. I won some Teal Toes from her awareness giveaways and have been sporting the color on my toes for some time now.

Also attempting pickled eggs for the first time in my life. Why? Because my husband loves pickled things and said that he wanted to try a pickled egg. Of course, you can’t just go buy pickled eggs anywhere. And let’s be honest, the places you do find them to buy (gas stations and such) aren’t usually that appealing. So what is one to do? Turn to the internet and find out how to make them yourself! In three days I will know if it worked out well or not. Have you ever pickled eggs?

What’s going on lately in your world?

Updates!

I thought it was time to make a little blog theme change, and you may have noticed already. I just wanted something where I could easily share my own images in the header, and the photo that is being used right now is of a gorgeous flower garden that I came across in the mountains.

Other updates going on around here too. My mom’s kitchen is almost ready for it’s big reveal! She is so excited about it, but she wants to get some new fun accessories before I show it to the world. I hope to post it soon. The folks at Aspen Countertops did a great job. The workers were so careful and really did an amazing job on the seams too (the hardest part of granite I hear). Her bathroom make over is getting a lot closer to being shown off as well, we just have some finishing touches that are going to help put it over the top!

And, speaking of Aspen Countertops, Aaron was just here to get information to give us a bid for our very outdated master bathroom. Fingers crossed that we too will be getting an upgrade in the future! Now we just anxiously await the bid. We also have to replace our tub surrounds, and one thought that we have had is to remove the tub all together and put in a walk in shower instead to really open up the room. Oh the possibilities!

What updates are taking place in your neck of the woods?
