The holidays are almost here!
Once Halloween happens, it seems like the holiday season is in full force. It also seems to zoom by at record speed! If you have been to any shop recently, Christmas decor is already out. It’s a little soon for me to think of Christmas, but I know that a little planning ahead never hurt anyone, which is why I was really excited to see all the fun new designs for holiday cards from Shutterfly.
I love snail mail, so of course I love sending and receiving cards for the holidays. Last year I was a bit late with putting cards together, and was really tempted to send New Year’s cards instead, and this year I might do that just for fun. I really like the “Confetti Countdown Filmstrip” card because it reminds me of a photobooth strip! The other thing that I love about this card, aside from it being unique and fun, is that it would be a perfect card for us. Since we are a couple, it was nice to see some card choices that featured just couples. Of course, we would also include our cute pets in the photos too.
What do you think of sending photo cards? I know that I love to see my friends, especially when those friends live far away now. Hopefully they feel the same about seeing us too! If I were to send a Christmas card instead of the fun New Years card, I really like the “What A Year” card, with a place for three photos, and a spot for a small newsletter, it seems like a great choice! I usually don’t do an extra newsletter in my cards, but having it right there with the photos makes me want to do one! And this Stuffed Stocking card is also really cute.
I am already going through our photos to see which ones would be fun for a card. I always wish that we had more photos of us together, but especially at this time of year when I try to plan for cards. Also, Shutterfly has a fun selection of personalized thank you cards, for sending after the big holiday season. With so many fun choices, it will be hard to choose when the time comes.

I love that photobooth looking one!! I have never done this myself, but I do like receiving them… I usually make a homemade card
I love that you make homemade cards! I used to, before I got married and my card sending list got all big and overwhelming.
