Easter 2011
How was your Easter weekend? We had a lot of fun, starting on Saturday when we celebrated Easter Eve with my family, and ending on Sunday when we had Easter dinner with my husband’s family. On Saturday we had an egg hunt and colored eggs. This year we tried a 24K Gold egg kit. You can see that the results were quiet pretty! It was messier than usual, because you actually paint the eggs instead of dipping them (which means getting quiet a bit on your fingers while trying to hold the eggs).
We also made our yearly bunny cake, and this year I got us a special treat from Kara’s Chocolates. Bunny shaped petite fours! They were so very tasty! We had never tried petite fours before, but I think they may become a new favorite splurge now and then.
It’s been a rainy and cold spring here, but that hasn’t stopped our garden from blooming. Here is what the front garden looks like now, with more flowers on the way.
The weather has made it hard to get out and weed, and the weeds are loving it! I think the happy little dandelions are cute though (even though I know I will be cursing them very soon).

My Easter was great. My dad was in town and the weather was beautiful. So fun!
