Blogging (from the computer's perspective).

It’s hard for me to imagine that I started my very first blog back in 2004! Time sure does fly!

Throughout that time I have been lucky enough to become friends with many wonderful bloggers from all around the world. Each blog (and the person who writes it) is totally unique and special, and especially those who have become friends.

I wish that I could highlight each and every one of you in this post (if you aren’t listed, please don’t feel badly)! Since this post is about Five Fabulous Bloggers, I had to narrow it down. A lot.

Operation Nice
! Why does Melissa of Operation Nice simply rock? Her blog is all about spreading happiness in the form of people being nice to each other. Need a little uplift and reassurance that people are still nice in the world? Be sure to visit her blog! Have a nice story to share, be sure to send it her way and help spread the message of kindness.

Cute Overload
. Now really, if you have been reading here for long at all (like even a second), you know that I love animals. Especially the cute ones, and let’s be honest, they are almost all cute. So of course I think that Meg and her team are absolutely fabulous.

DIYdiva! A woman who wears power tools the way others wear high heels?! Heck yeah! Not only is she rocking the DIY attitude to the utmost, but she is building an entire freaking house! Oh, and did I mention that she has adorable mini-donkeys too? If that doesn’t make her fabulous I don’t know what will!

How About Orange. If you aren’t reading this blog, you are missing out. Even if you aren’t a fan of the color orange, Jessica always shares wonderful design ideas, fun freebies, and she’s also a fabric designer! If you are in need of a fun design fix, her blog never disappoints.

And last but not least, bakerella! Queen of Cake Pops, this blog will make your mouth water. Not only do I always find something simply adorable on this blog, but the ideas and attention to detail area just astounding. Whenever I need something really special to make, this is my go to blog for ideas.

Who are some of your favorite, fabulous bloggers? You can say yourself of course (since you are fabulous too!).

Don’t forget to enter the 50 Fabulous Wishes contest for a chance to win $1,000 to celebrate a friend with a refreshing attitude about looking and feeling fabulous. I was selected for this Tropicana Trop50 sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do. I received compensation to use and facilitate my post.

Tour de Cure!

Friends, I am taking part in an event that is near and dear to my heart. Tour de Cure is a fundraising event to raise money for diabetes. My dad was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and I have seen how it has affected his life and lifestyle. It’s truly something that is not easy, and a cure would be wonderful. Of course, money raised goes into a lot of efforts to make living with diabetes easier for those who have it.

If you have $5.00 to donate to my cause, I would sure appreciate it! To donate in any amount visit my fundraising page. I am part of a wonderful team of friends who are riding on behalf of their loved one, and while I might not be able to bike on tour day due to family commitments, I am still going to be logging 25 miles on my bike!

Thank you for your support! :)

Cinna-chia muffins

You have heard about chia seeds, right? For eating that is, not just for growing a Chia Elephant. Well, I had a nice bag of chia seeds sitting around the pantry that were just begging to be used somehow. The rainy weather outside made it seem like a great idea to bake some muffins. Since I didn’t have a chia muffin recipe on hand I improvised with what I did have in the house. The result?

Cinna-chia Muffins

  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups original Bisquick
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 T vegetable oil
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 1 t chia seed

Bake in a preheated oven at 400F for 14-17 mins depending on your oven.

The result is a basic muffin with a cinnamon kick! The chia seeds don’t have a strong taste in the muffin, but you will still get all the tasty benefits!
