Lazy Bones

morning daisy

It’s already hot in our neck of the woods. We bypassed spring all together and went directly to summer. I feel totally and completely lazy. The only thing that sounds appealing is lazing about next to a swimming pool (or lake), sipping nice cold drinks, and doing absolutely nothing.

Instead I have been mowing our jungle of a lawn, trying desperately to remove all the grass that took over our flowerbeds during the extra long and wet spring, and of course, planting the few annuals I bought this year (some purple petunias). Allergies are in full swing and truly I should be locked away in my house for a few weeks, but with the weather being so lovely how could I possibly not go outside?

How is your summer so far?

  1. how’s my summer…slow and fast all at the same time. I’ve got a million and one things to do and nothing at all. writing, gardening, hooping, job searching and now catching up on all the blogging I’ve missed. i don’t mow the lawn but I do weed the veggie patch and more then the allergies it’s the mozzies that have me most irritated! ah summer, bug bites and allergies are something they always leave out of films like the Notebook…
