You’ve got email!

Thank you to Yahoo! Mail for sponsoring this post about staying connected. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

If you remember, last month I talked about my first real experience with email. It was truly amazing to communicate with family from all the way over on the other side of the globe! Things have come a long way since 1993! Email is such a big part of daily life now, it’s hard to imagine not having it, isn’t it?

When I was younger my friends and I always kept in touch through phone calls and getting together. As we have all grown up, gotten married, and moved to different cities, email has become our life line to each other. I always look forward to getting an email update from a friend, especially if they include recent photos of themselves. Too often we are so busy going through our days that we rarely get a chance to talk on the phone. Oh yes, and those pesky time zone differences can really get in the way too (both for friends in and out of the country)!

I don’t know if there is a way to truly convey how much email means when it comes to being able to keep in touch. I’m sure that anyone who has friends and family who live far away knows exactly what I’m talking about though. The funny thing is, I use email to keep in touch with people who live just a few blocks away! My parents! They love using email to send funny jokes and photos, and I love getting them too! Even though we actually do see each other almost everyday, there is just something fun about opening up your email to see that you have a funny joke from your mom or dad. And of course, we love sending adorable photos of Baby back and forth to each other!

What do you love most about email? For me it’s all about connecting with those that I love. Isn’t this video cute too? Pretty much looks like what my mom and I do (except of course we are two young ladies not little old ladies, lol).

May your email box be filled with happy news and funny photos! Happy emailing!
