This bag rocks! For real.

By , October 18, 2011

This bag rocks, and rolls! And, it carries my laptop. The Electronic Rock Guitar Bag will play all major chords, and you don’t even need to know how to play guitar to make it work. Of course, since I play the guitar, I was kind of hoping it would work just like the real thing, but this bag is still tons of fun!

The bag comes with a detachable amp, so you can take the bag with you anywhere (even places that you wouldn’t be playing it). It also has room for all the stuff you need, with pen pockets and even room for a 17″ laptop. This made my day because I had been looking for a great laptop bag for a long time. I also really love the zippered pouch for holding a cell phone. No more worrying about losing your phone with this one!

Even the strap on the bag is great, it’s just like a guitar strap! Nice and sturdy! The bag is a messenger style and closes magnetically. And don’t worry, they even have a chord chart so you can play like a “pro” right on the site. Rock on!

*ThinkGeek has done it again! Thanks for providing the awesome product for our review. As always, my opinion is my own.*

The Dieter’s Paradox: Why Dieting Makes Us Fat

By , October 16, 2011

Recently I got the chance to read The Dieter’s Paradox: Why Dieting Makes Us Fat. What an interesting book! If you have always wondered why, despite all the information out there about weight loss, people still struggle to maintain a healthy weight, this is a good read for you! I am happy to be able to share this article from the author with you, which will give you a little insight about what the book is like.

Why Dieting Makes Us Fat: The Comparison Fallacy
By Alexander Chernev
Author of The Dieter’s Paradox: Why Dieting Makes Us Fat

What makes for a good choice? Most often, good choices are those that bring us closer to our goals. When we are lucky enough to have a set of options containing one that will clearly move us closer to our goal, making a “good” choice is easy. But what if we face a decision in which all options are “bad,” yet some are worse than others? Would selecting the best option, even though it is still “bad,” be a good decision? Giveaway: Tropical Traditions Moisturizing Lotion

By , October 14, 2011

Now that cold weather is on the way, my skin is always in need of lotion to keep from cracking. Actually, my skin is always dry, sometimes to the point of bleeding, so I’m always on the look out for a great lotion! I was really excited to get a chance to try Tropical Traditions moisturizing lotion in peppermint. Not only does it smell wonderful and invigorating, it also makes my hands so soft!

I love that it is made with coconut oil and other natural ingredients. I have often read about how important it is to make sure you use the best things on your skin since our skin is so good at absorbing things. This lotion also absorbs into my skin quickly, which feels so wonderful when my skin becomes especially dry after working in the garden!

The lotions come scented with essential oils, or you can choose unscented as well. And from what I have discovered, a little can go a long way. The lotion can be used anywhere on the body.

Would you like a chance to try some for yourself?

One lucky reader will get an 8oz bottle in their choice of scent. To enter: Leave a comment on this post before midnight on October 20th. This giveaway is for those in the USA. You may comment daily, so to make it fun, tell me a joke or something else that is funny.
