Angry Birds on the wall!

By , November 4, 2011

Angry Birds on the wall. Angry Birds on the mirror. Angry Birds are taking over!

What happens when you combine two Angry Bird addicts with boring white walls, and Angry Bird Wall Clings? You get a whole bunch of FUN that’s what happens!

With three pages worth of birds and pigs, the Angry Bird wall cling set has provided us with more fun that you can shake a stick at! And even though they do work best on smooth surfaces, like mirrors and smooth walls, they still stuck pretty well to our orange peel walls. Of course, we still put them on our mirror too, because why not imagine a little game of Angry Birds while you get ready for the day!

The best part? You can easily remove and re-stick them (without damaging your walls). So, you really could “play” a game or two of Angry Birds on your wall!

Tell me, are you an Angry Bird addict too?

Root Vue Farm

By , November 1, 2011

It’s that sad time of year when we have to put our garden to bed. Of course, that won’t stop us from growing things inside! Our latest indoor gardening experiment comes in the form of the Root Vue Farm! I planted the seeds a few weeks ago and we are starting to see progress. If all goes well, I hope to see something like this:

The “farm” comes with a viewing window so you can watch as your carrots, radishes, and onions grow. It also includes a self watering feature, which is nice if you are forgetful like I can be at times. The kit comes with everything you need, including the dirt! It was actually very fun to put together because the dirt comes in pellets that expand when water is added. I’ve always loved that.

  • Includes:
    • Durable styrofoam growing unit with acrylic viewing window, built-in water basic, and drainage reservoir
    • Light shield (to cover plant roots when you’re not observing)
    • Eight (8) super-expanding grow mix wafers
    • Three (3) packets of seeds (carrot, radish, onion)
    • ID labels
    • Water wicks for self-watering system
    • 16 page booklet with instructions and experiments

Here is what ours currently looks like:

The radishes are growing the best right now, but all the seeds have sprouted. So far we can’t see any roots through the window, but maybe in a few months! The Root Vue Farm would be such a fun gift for the young garden lover in your life. I remember how excited I got when I was given presents like this when I was a kid!

This bag rocks! For real.

This bag rocks, and rolls! And, it carries my laptop. The Electronic Rock Guitar Bag will play all major chords, and you don’t even need to know how to play guitar to make it work. Of course, since I play the guitar, I was kind of hoping it would work just like the real thing, but this bag is still tons of fun!

The bag comes with a detachable amp, so you can take the bag with you anywhere (even places that you wouldn’t be playing it). It also has room for all the stuff you need, with pen pockets and even room for a 17″ laptop. This made my day because I had been looking for a great laptop bag for a long time. I also really love the zippered pouch for holding a cell phone. No more worrying about losing your phone with this one!

Even the strap on the bag is great, it’s just like a guitar strap! Nice and sturdy! The bag is a messenger style and closes magnetically. And don’t worry, they even have a chord chart so you can play like a “pro” right on the site. Rock on!

*ThinkGeek has done it again! Thanks for providing the awesome product for our review. As always, my opinion is my own.*

Star Wars Operation

By , October 13, 2011

Calling all Star Wars geeks! You must add this little gem to your collection. Behold, Star Wars Operation!

I really cannot tell you how much I love this, it has had me giggling like you would not believe. Why? The pieces that you have to get out of R2D2 are just plain hilarious! Not only does it have a few very accurate pieces in C3PO (pain in the neck and worry wart), but it has many other funny pieces. For example my favorite, the “overweight glob of grease”!

This is by far the most fun version of Operation that I have ever seen. We were probably foolish for opening it up and playing with it, who knows if someday in the future this would be collectible! But it’s just too awesome not to play with.

You can get your own from ThinkGeek.com, along with all kinds of other Star Wars goodies.
