I have a new ride for the next week thanks to Utah eBikes. It’s a very cool kind of bike known as a power assist. Why? It has a battery and a motor! And it’s red. So of course I had to name it “Big Red”. Isn’t it awesome?

It’s a cruiser style, though there are other options. And Utah eBikes specializes in the “scooter style” electric bike. But I have always been curious about this style, ever since I read about them many moons ago. I was so excited when I learned that I would be able to actually try one out, and for an entire week too!
We went out for a short ride this morning. The weather could not have been more perfect, overcast and slightly cooler than usual. The traffic was great too (in the sense that there wasn’t much). I wasn’t sure how far I would want to go since the battery wasn’t fully charged, but knowing that I could always pedal back, I decided to go about 5 miles. It was a little strange.

I am used to working a lot harder when riding a bike. You don’t have to work as hard with the motor kicking in a bit of power! It will take a bit of getting used to, but it was very nice, especially since it had been awhile since I last rode. In fact, riding this morning made me really miss riding all the time. Why did I ever stop?
Anyway, back to the bike. It was fun, it has a bell, and there is a key to turn it off and on! The motor kicks in when you start to pedal, or you can start it from the handle bar. It’s heavy! Oh yes, and there is even a light on the front!! How cool is that?
It’s going to be a fun week.

I am so in love with this bedding! It’s called Casablanca, and it comes from Gaiam. The color, and especially the pattern, both remind me of far away places. Dreamy places. It also really speaks to the bellydancer in me, with gorgeous details and intricate stitching (a lot like my costumes). It also is such a delicious color, not my usual color choice actually, but I am really digging it for some reason.
Another thing that I really like about it is that it is 100% organic cotton. It’s also machine washable (a big must in my book). Oh, and did I mention that it is so pretty? At least, I think it’s really pretty.
I can totally imagine this in our room, except that there is a big price tag attached to it. Yet again, to get organic, high quality cotton, it will cost an arm and a leg. And, it’s just the duvet cover, not a comforter (not a problem as long as you have something to put in it of course).
It’s almost time to put a heavier comforter inside our duvet cover. The nights are getting colder and colder, though we are still enjoying lovely days. Snow is sure to be coming though, and I think it would be a lot of fun to put a heavier comforter inside this dreamy bedding. Now, where did I put all that “spare change”!?
I have a bit of a problem with emails. Most especially emails from groovy online shops offering all kinds of goodies. Usually I quickly delete them to avoid all temptation to buy things. Well I didn’t delete one today, one from the evil FredFlare.com (oh they are evil because they have so many cute things)! I mean, how could I resist the email subject line that said “30% OFF + a dancing kitten”? A dancing kitten made me open that email, and just as I thought! I found cuteness and temptation inside. Behold, Russian nesting doll measuring cups!!

Aren’t they awesome!? They are tempting me to part with $16.00… I mean really people! Russian nesting dolls (one of my favorite things), and for cooking (one of my other favorite things)! And don’t even get me started on the Hello Kitty flash drive and the nesting doll tape! I have a feeling that if I were wealthy, I could buy one of almost everything they offer. They have a blog too by the way, which I often have to avoid for fear of more temptation. LOL.
