Fresh Bread

We have just loved making fresh bread on the cooking stone. I was really excited when I found the blog of one of the authors of the book we use to make our bread (Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day: The Discovery That Revolutionizes Home Baking). The funny part was that I found her through Twitter, not by looking at the back of the book where the site was listed! Anyway, if you are looking for tips on bread, or many other tasty treats, be sure to stop by Zoe Bakes.

I can honestly say though, the way they approach making bread is truly easy. Spend one day making the dough (super easy and no kneading), and you can literally have fresh bread for most the week. Which reminds me, it’s time to make a new batch of dough!

We have also tried our hand at drying fruit in our dehydrator. In my opinion it is a lot of work, and I guess I would prefer to buy them already done, rather than do what it takes to do it ourselves. However, the first go is always learning, and hopefully it will get quicker and easier each time we do it.
