Only ten days in to the 365 project, and already I have missed a day. I also have not uploaded the photos, which I suspected would be the biggest issue.

What I am finding is that most days it’s very easy to take a lot more than just one photo. However, I am a bit lazy when it comes to uploading them daily. So what I think will happen is that I will upload them once a week or so, then share my favorites in a post now and then. I have a Flickr set for the project as well.

I still think it’s a great idea though, and it has made me pick up my camera more often. I look forward to looking back in a few months too, just to see what I thought was photo worthy at the time.

A steadier hand for non-flash photos would be great. Also, a slightly bigger purse too, so I can more easily keep my camera handy when I go out. One of these days, I will get the system figured out, and then I will be rocking the 365!
Photos: Our Christmas tree, yummy seasonal temptations, and a “major award”!
I am giving it another try! Hopefully I will be better at sticking with it this time around, but my goal is to take photos each day. You will notice a tab up on the header of my blog that says 365 Project, where you can look at the photos. Or, if you want to follow directly you can visit Roo’s 365.

So far so good! Today I took a photo, and I even uploaded it. The photo above is our Christmas North Pole village. I have a feeling the photo taking isn’t going to be the problem, but remembering to get them off my camera and onto the computer!

Oh my goodness I want one of these! Do you know what it is? It’s a lens attachment for a camera so you can take photos that look like photos taken with a Diana, or other plastic lens camera! I am so excited. I have been itching to play with my Holga, but honestly the film is expensive both to purchase and develop. This lens can attach to a DSLR, which means no film to buy or develop! Nothing but fun, fun, fun!
The lens comes from the Photojojo website (a place that has many things I want to buy in addition to this lens). The features of the lens are quiet awesome as well.
- Adds a soft and dreamy focus to your photos
- Adapter for Canon or Nikon SLRs and DSLRs
- Included adapter works with the entire line of Lomo’s Diana+ lenses
- Three distance settings (1-2m, 2-4m and Infinity)
- Includes Canon or Nikon adapter and 38mm Super-Wide Diana+ Lens
The price is nice too. At only $60 (with super low $2.50 shipping), it could easily find it’s way to my Christmas stocking (hint, hint, Santa). Of course I just know that as soon as I get one I am going to have to track down other Diana lenses to play with as well, since the adapter works with all of them.
In related photo news, I hope to give the 365 project a go again, starting tomorrow. Wish me luck.
