Today was a rough day in many ways. Yoshi seemed to be a bit better in some respects, and a bit worse in others. Tonight though she seemed a lot more perky and even though she was still having a very hard time staying totally balanced and upright, she did show signs of improvement.

It has been so hard to see her feeling so sick. Tonight she and I cuddled in bed and watched Send Me No Flowers, a favorite (I was swooning over the design of the house, especially how large and open it all felt). My hubby joined us in the fun towards the end of the movie (he had been watching Fringe). One thing is for sure, she is getting totally and completely spoiled!!

Thank you all for the loving thoughts on behalf of our sweet little rat. I know that some people out there can’t imagine why anyone would want a rat as a pet (and those people have obviously not been around any pet rats or they would know how smart and fun they are), but we sure do love our little Yoshi and can’t wait until she is all better.

Our sweet Yoshi is sick and could use some happy, positive, healing vibes sent her way. We took her to the emergency vet last night because she wasn’t walking correctly and was turning in circles. They think it’s an inner ear infection that is causing the balance problems, and she is on medicine now.

We just feel so sad for our little Yoshi. She is so sweet, and wants to play but just can’t right now. We are both hoping that she recovers quickly and that the diagnosis is spot on!
